Start With an Honest Assessment
Every watch is assessed before any work is agreed. The assessment informs the service recommendation — not the other way around.
Work Within the Agreed Scope
Anything beyond the quoted scope is discussed and approved before proceeding. The final bill should not surprise you.
Hand Back With Documentation
Every job concludes with a written summary. For restoration work, this includes stage-by-stage notes and timing machine results.
Everyday Service Package
A practical service for a daily-wear watch. Covers internal cleaning, fresh lubrication throughout the movement, and a thorough accuracy check. The right choice for a watch that has not been serviced in three to five years and is still running but due for attention.

- Case and bracelet exterior clean
- Written completion summary
Best for: watches used regularly, overdue for maintenance, running but losing or gaining time.
Vintage Refresh
A measured refresh of an older watch, focused on restoring reliable function while preserving its age and character. Patina is respected, original finishes are left where possible, and any parts sourcing is discussed with the owner before proceeding.

- Case cleaning — original surfaces respected
- Gasket and crown tube assessment
- Timing results and written summary
Best for: vintage watches (10+ years old), pieces that have sat unworn, inherited watches needing a gentle return to service.
Collector's Restoration
A careful, fully documented restoration for a cherished or collectible timepiece. Work is handled stage by stage, with written notes and photographs at each phase. The resulting document stays with the watch as part of its history.

Workshop Standards Applied to Every Job
Secure storage throughout
Watches are stored in a locked environment when not on the bench. Access is limited to workshop staff.
Timing machine verification
Every movement is tested across multiple positions. Results are noted and included with the watch on collection.
Original parts preference
Where original parts can be sourced, they are. Substitutes are only used when the originals are unavailable, and always with the owner's prior knowledge.
Owner-only collection
Watches are released only to the owner or an authorised representative, with a signed acknowledgement required.
Proactive communication
If something unexpected comes up during a service, we contact you before acting. No surprises at collection.
Association membership
Mainspring holds registered membership with the Thailand Horological Association, reflecting a commitment to professional standards.
